Competition Brief​
6th Children's Picture Book International Prize Benicarlo
Aim to encourage and promote reading through picture books for children.

Requirement
1. A document describing the project and, where appropriate, the specific techniques for the final edition of the work.
2. A complete model of the album project, including text and illustration.
3. A minimum of 3 examples of completely finished illustrations, where key scenes from the book are displayed.
4. A proposal for endpapers.
5. The written literary part shall not exceed 3,000 characters.
6. The length must not exceed 32 inner pages(max 16 illustration)
7. Valencian, Spanish or English only.
8. Format: 210mm x 210mm
Subject Matter
The storybook is talking about the issue of parents are often busy with their work and they forget to look after and pay attention to their children nowadays. This storybook talks about how important parents' care is for child's growth.
Concept
Jamie The Naughty Boy
Story
It is about a boy who keeps messing around because he wants his mother to pay more attention to him. One day, when his mother scolded him, he tells his mother all he wants is just her attention. Finally, his mother realizes that she spends too much time on her work, she should spend more time on her child.
Message
Accompany me more now, before it's too late and I grow up.

Laura Ellen Anderson
Laura Ellen Anderson is a professional children’s book author and illustrator, with an increasing addiction to coffee. She spends every waking hour creating and drawing, and would quite like to live on the moon when humans finally make it possible. Laura is the creator of EVIL EMPEROR PENGUIN and the illustrator of WITCH WARS, as well as many other children’s books. AMELIA FANG is her first series as an author-illustrator.
My illustration of this storybook was inspired by Laura Ellen Anderson. I am using flat illustration and Muted color in this storybook.
